Uniquely Preparing Leaders Innovators and Future Teachers

The UPLIFT Internship Program is a two-year transformative journey designed to empower high school students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to become leaders, innovators, and future educators.

UPLIFT, an acronym for Uniquely Preparing Leaders, Innovators, and Future Teachers, is an immersive and comprehensive program that equips students with the tools necessary to succeed in college, foster an entrepreneurial mindset, develop financial literacy, and build strong character while participating in practical fieldwork experiences. They will have the opportunity to work with Hosanna Academy’s programming and other small businesses.

College Readiness

Navigating college options, financial aid, campus life, application essays, and college visits.

Entrepreneurship

Developing business skills, fostering innovation, problem-solving, and exploring entrepreneurship.

Financial Literacy

Understanding personal finance, budgeting, saving strategies, and making informed financial decisions.

Conflict Resolution

Learning conflict resolution techniques, building positive relationships, and managing interpersonal dynamics.

Communication Skills

Enhancing verbal and written communication, mastering public speaking, and articulating ideas clearly.

Professional Etiquette

Mastering workplace behavior, understanding dress codes, and improving communication in professional settings.

Mindset Development

Cultivating a growth mindset, overcoming challenges, and building resilience in pursuing long-term goals.

Character and Values

Exploring personal values, developing character, and emphasizing integrity, empathy, and ethical decision-making.

International Learning Pals (ILP)

At Hosanna Academy, our mission extends beyond the classroom to embrace global service and cultural awareness. We established the International Learning Pals (ILP) program to build a global learning community, starting with our partnerships in Africa at Steam Academy in Ethiopia and Woadze Village School in Ghana.

Through ILP, we aim to cultivate global understanding, cultural awareness, and meaningful language exchange, while providing professional development for teachers and vital resources to our partner schools.

Support Teacher Development

Equip educators at our partner schools with training in culturally relevant pedagogy and cutting-edge STEAM education, empowering them to inspire the next generation of learners.

Skill Development for High School Students

Offer high school students the chance to acquire valuable teaching skills, paving the way for a potential career in education postgraduate.

English Language Development

Provide tailored support to students at Steam Academy to enhance their English language skills, preparing them for future academic and professional opportunities.

Promote Cultural Awareness

Create opportunities for cultural exchange between TK/K students at Hosanna Academy and their peers at Steam Academy, encouraging mutual respect and understanding.

Enhance Learning Environments

Support the development of learning centers and libraries, and assist in the restoration of outdated facilities at our partner schools to give pupils a good learning environment.
